Who's got a penny for this guy?
'cos I do what I can with two working hands and some half-baked plans,
but it's not enough to live by, it's not enough to live by.
Got no time, and no money. It's a joke that I don't find funny,
staying indoors in a hat and four jackets and some packed-in pipes makes sure that my nose stays runny
but I don't want money, I just need it.
Even if I don't believe in it.
Even if as soon as some comes my way on payday the taxman's thieving it.
As I go once more round the sun, as I get one year less young,
I want to know which ways go from here
and how do i choose the best one?
Can I live life like a test run, or am I just fucked if i guess wrong?
Maybe I should shut up and have fun, cos more money just means more problems.
I don't know what they want from me, it's like the more money we come across, the more problems we see.
